Nancy Detillion, 88, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 18, at Adena Regional Medical Center.
Born November 21, 1935, in Groveport, she was the daughter of Edward and Della Detty.
A 1953 graduate of Southeastern High School, Nancy worked very hard through the years to keep her classmates in touch with each other. She held jobs at Basic Construction, Sears and Huntington National Bank before joining the staff at Chillicothe Municipal Court in 1973. She retired from her position as a court clerk in 1999.
Nancy attended Brookside Church, mostly online in recent years. She had been a member of the Senior Bowling League at Shawnee Lanes and loved a good card game. But, as nearly everyone knows, her favorite pastime was playing the slots at the nearest casino. She always said, “I just love to hear the sound when the reels spin.”
Survivors include a son, James “Steve” (Linda) Detillion, of Tiffin; daughters, Cindy Detillion and Crystal Poe, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Heather (Brett) Staib of Fredericksburg, VA., Jamie (Jill) Detillion, of Jenison, MI, Sarah Beth Hines, of Marion, Stacey Poe, of Chillicothe and Ethan Poe, of Circleville; great granddaughters, Hudson Staib and Brookelyn Staib, of Fredericksburg, VA, Cambry Detillion, of Jenison, MI, Mackenzie Hines, of Marion and Abigail Patrick, of Chillicothe; great grandsons, Brennan Staib, of Fredericksburg, VA, Cannon Detillion and Crew Detillion, of Jenison, MI, Gage Hines, of Marion; a sister, Lois Preston, of Reynoldsburg; many nieces and nephews.
