Donald E. Briggs

Donald E. Briggs, 85, of Chillicothe, died 9:15 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born December 14, 1933, in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Preston and Minnie O’Bryant Briggs.

Surviving are a son, Daniel L. Briggs, of Waverly; former wife and mother of his children, Kathy L. Parker Taylor, of Chillicothe; 5 granddaughters including Siobhan Taylor who helped care for her grandfather this past year; and a great granddaughter. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Briggs.

Donald retired from Chilpaco. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith and had attended several local churches. Donald was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and buried with his daughter in Sandy Springs Cemetery in Adams County, Ohio. There will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
