Alice Houseman, 90, of Chillicothe, passed 4:07 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at her home.

She was born December 2, 1932 in Fayette County, Ohio, to the late Rodney and Flora Everhart Mick.  On September 6, 1944, she married the love of her life, Kenneth E. Houseman, Sr. who passed October 30, 2015.

Surviving are daughters, Roseanna Stout and companion, Tom Hemmert, of St. Mary's, OH and Deborah L. Houseman, of Chillicothe; many grandchildren, including Terry L. Howard, II, whom she raised; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Bertie Warner, of West Liberty, KY and Margaret Ann Stewart, of Washington C.H., OH; a brother, Kenny Mick, of Topeka, KS; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Betty Mick and Ronette Mick; her faithful friend and sidekick, her dog, Heidi; and many extended family members and friends.  She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth E. Houseman, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Gary Gee, Ethel and Ronnie Knisley and Mae and John Stiffler; brothers, Glen Mick and Emmitt Mick; and a sister-in-law, Patty Mick.

Alice was an avid bowler.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday.
