Barbara A.
Polans
Nov 12, 1952 — Apr 7, 2023
Barbara A. Polans, 70, of Chillicothe, passed 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus unexpectedly.
She was born November 12, 1952, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Victor O. and Mary J. (Ginther) Bigler. On June 27, 1998, she married Robert G. "Rob" Polans who survives.
In addition to her husband, surviving are siblings, Vicky (Bob) Weisenberger, of Chillicothe, Joe (Joyce) Bigler, of Columbus, Mike Bigler, of Chillicothe, Tim (Pat) Bigler, of Hamilton and Jenny (Bob) French, of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews, Paula (Josh) Davis, Matt (Candace) Weisenberger, Karla Weisenberger Lindsey, Mark (Kortney) Weisenberger, Julie (Mike) Murphy, Janie (Tony) Modd, Jodie (Greg) Holloway, David (Jill) Bigler, Lisa (Weston) Dooley, Caitlyn (Andrew) Frantz, Christyn Bigler, Douglas French and Nicholas French; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and a brother-in-law, Loren Polans, of Tucson, AZ. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a niece, Emily Weisenberger; a sister-in-law, Jill Polans; a brother-in-law, Austin Bigler; and mother-in-law, Estelle Polans.
Barb was one of the most amazing people you'll ever meet. What she lacked in physical size and strength, she more than made up for with her determination, tenacity, and kindness. She loved her God, her husband, family, friends, and especially her cats. From the day she was born she refused to turn away from the many extreme challenges that confronted her. When people told her she'd never be capable of doing something, she usually found a way to prove them wrong. We're all lucky for two reasons – first, to have known and loved Barb; and second, to have never had to walk in the shoes that she did for 70 years. She walked in those shoes with courage and grace. She will be sorely missed, but we're happy that she can finally run and jump as she frolics in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Children's Hospital of your choice.
