Brian D. Speakman, 62, of Chillicothe passed at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born April 23, 1964 in Ross County to Larry and Cheryl Detty Speakman.

Surviving are his father, Larry Speakman, of Chillicothe and mother, Cheryl Detty, of Circleville; brothers, Chris (Suzy) Speakman, of Tooele, UT, Larry (Sheila) Speakman, of Circleville and Tim Speakman, of Chillicothe; sisters, Lynette Skeens and companion Stephen Skeens, of Chillicothe, Tracey (Doug) Mitten, of Hallsville, Michele (John) Fitzpatrick, of Chillicothe, Denise Speakman, of Lockbourne and Angie (Chad) Zeisler, of Chillicothe.  He was predeceased by step-mother, Ruth Speakman and sister, Melissa Speakman.

Brian was a self-employed artist and painter.

Family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bruce Hines officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
