Carolyn J. Swiggett, 68, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:46 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born July 3, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Lerman H. and Alice Burroughs Huffman.  On March 30, 1974, she married Russell D. "Russ" Swiggett.

Surviving are a son, Brian (Bridget) Swiggett, of Waverly; grandchildren, Katelynn and Michael Swiggett; a sister, Peggy (Roy) Watters, of Grove City; a brother, Robert (Bambi) Huffman, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Tiffany Leasure and a sister, Susan Francis.

Carolyn had worked at her family business, the former Burroughs Electric and was a 1973 graduate of Chillicothe High School.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Karlson officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
