Charles Alexander Jones, 53, of Chillicothe, passed early Friday morning, March 24, 2023 at his residence unexpectedly.

He was born January 18, 1970, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Lewis D. Thomas, Jr. and Charilyn Jones, who survives of Chillicothe.

Surviving are a daughter, Brooke Michaels, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Khyre L. Michaels, Bentley C. Lewis and Jeremiah S. Lewis; a brother, Lewis D. Thomas, III; sisters, Christina Thomas and Tuesday Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was well known in Chillicothe for being an accomplished Chillicothe Cavalier Football Player.  Caviler fans may remember him as being referred to as the "Freak of Nature" during his 1988 Senior Football Season.  He made the front page of the USA Today Paper, along with Alonzo Smith, as one of the top two defensive backs in the nation coming out of high school.  Charles was an avid New England Patriots fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, looked forward to playing Racquetball with his father, when he was living and had an unconditional love for his mother, whom he truly adored.

Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023.  There will be no funeral service.
