Clarence Timothy Richards, 84, of Chillicothe passed 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Legacy Health Services.

He was born September 15, 1938 in Ross County to the late Judge Thurman and Sylvia (Scott) Richards.  On July 31, 1965 he married Roberta Lee (Raypole) Brown.  Lee passed away February 25, 2020.

Tim is survived by stepson, Mark T. Brown of Priest River, Idaho; step grandchildren, Virginia L. Brown, Teri L. Brown and Jaymie M. Bucanan all of Chillicothe; sister, Ann (Richards) Lou Skaggs of Chillicothe; nieces, Nancy (Wade) Lyn Gray of Waverly, Kathy (Hiles) John Hatfield of Tennessee; nephew, Erin (Teresa) Rinehart of Chillicothe; many great nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by step son, David Brown; sisters, Orpha (Richards) Wade and Audrey (Richards) Hiles; brothers, Pat, Milton, Douglas, Calvin and Frank Richards.

Tim served his country in the United States Army from 1958 – 1961.  He retired from Chillicothe Correctional Institute.  Tim was a kind and gentle person.  He had given his heart to God and was a believer of the hereafter.  Our loss is heavens gain.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery's Mausoleum.  Friends and family may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.  Military graveside rites will be given by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
