Clarence L. Smith Sr, 87, of Chillicothe, passed at 7:24 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born June 28, 1939, in Ross Conty to the late Frank and Ivy Smith Brown. In April 22, 1960 he married the former Judith E. “Judy” Graves who passed July 20, 2018.

Surviving are children, Clarence Lee Smith Jr, Beth A. Sigler, Sherry L. Smith and Larry L. (Rhonda) Smith; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a best friend, Richard Abbot; Sisters, Jerry (Gary) Wilson, of Chillicothe, Karen (Reed) Frantom, of Chillicothe, Sue and Nancy, both of Washington Courthouse; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Larry Smith and two sisters, Linda Oaks and Joann Smith.

Clarence spent his life building and working on cars. He loved to play the lottery and fish. He loved to spend time with his family and his best friend Richard.
