Daphne Allen, 87, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:03 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born July 18, 1936, in Vinton County, to the late Raymond H. and Effie M. Justice Puckett.  On November 25, 1954, she married John W. Allen who passed December 2, 2022.

Surviving are sons, Rick Allen, of Circleville and Mickey (Addy) Allen, of Lancaster; a daughter, with whom she lived, Leila Reed, of Chillicothe; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a sister, Frances Downing, of Clarksburg; a brother, Charles (Carol) Puckett, of Londonderry; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Raymond David Puckett and Darrel Puckett.

Daphne worked as a homemaker and Pastor's Wife for over 60 years.

A graveside service will be held 12 Noon on Friday, July 5, 2024 in Londonderry Cemetery Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
