David Franklin "Chenk" Hoylman, 82, of Chillicothe, passed 6:40 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his residence.

He was born November 2, 1940 to the late William R. and Effie Grubb Hoylman.  On June 16, 1963, he married the former Sue Hatfield who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Timothy Hoylman, of Ann Arbor, MI.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Donald, George, Johnny and Steve Hoylman.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Pro Medica for the loving care given to David and compassion shown to our family during this time.

David was a 1960 graduate of Centralia High School.  He retired from Chilpaco.  David was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 988, F.O.E. Aries 600, B.P.O.E. Lodge 52, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626, AMVETS Post 4, VFW Post 108 and American Legion Post 62.  He loved watching his red birds, butterflies and flowers.

David was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his wife and son.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Glenn Newland officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
