David M. Scott, 65, of Chillicothe, passed 6:00 a.m. Sunday, August 6, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born December 15, 1957, in Chillicothe, to the late David T. "Scottie" and Mary E. Brockmeyer Scott.  On January 26, 2019, he married the former Jackie F. Barker who passed November 27, 2019.

Surviving are children, Lindsey N. (Derek) Robbins, of Ackworth, GA, Molly A. Scott, of Chillicothe, OH and Cory M. Scott, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Max, Lucy, Vivian, Otis, Margaret and Marigold Robbins and Lila Jessie; a brother, Paul D. Scott, of Liberty, KY; sisters, Cindy Green, of Columbus and Amy (Marcus) Bost, of Greenville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Steve Scott and a sister, Tesse Burke.

Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023.  A graveside service will be held the next day, August 15, in Grandview Cemetery at 10 a.m.
