He was born May 5, 1955 in Jackson County to the late Donald K. and Marilyn F. (Reeves) Doles.  On July 14, 1995 he married Brenda J. Fout who survives.

Also surviving are children, Nicole D. Doles,  of Waverly and Justin M. (Jess) Doles, of Franklin; grandchildren, Devin, Drake, Kalicia, Jace, Jasper and Juliet Doles; sisters, Linda Doles, Carolyn Like and Judy (Mike) Parker, all of Chillicothe: brother Scott (Vickie Cottrill) Doles, Of Chillicothe; very special cousin who was like a brother, Johnny Ray, of Chillicothe; mother-in-law, Marsha Fout; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Leonard Williams, of Johnstown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Todd and Wendy Fout, of Richmond Dale; and he also leaves behind his beloved goldendoodle, Boedi.  He was predeceased by great granddaughter, Kaia Doles; father-in-law, Donald Fout;  and brother-in-law, Larry Like.

Donnie was owner and operator of Doles Home Improvement. He was a skilled craftsman who could design, make and fix anything.  He enjoyed wood working and has left many pieces of furniture for his family to enjoy.  Two things Donnie enjoyed the most were spending time at the beach and sunny days.

He served in the Army, Navy and US Marine Corps. Donnie was very active at the local V.A.M.C., spending time and doing things for the veterans.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Bill and Linda Herrnstein, for their friendship and many acts of kindness.  They would also like to thank his friend, Rick Turner, for the countless hours visiting and helping Donnie with whatever he needed.
