Donald Sprouse, 83, of Chillicothe, passed at 3:54 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born September 1, 1940, in Columbus Ohio, to the late Orrin and Helen (Niel) Sprouse.  In 2002, he married the former Linda Kuhn who survives.

Also surviving are children, Orrin (Becky) Sprouse, Rob (Jackie) Sprouse, Christal (Mike) Butterbaugh and Scottie Kuhn, all of Chillicothe; a son-in-law Scott Ramsey, of Ray; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Jim) Chamberlin of Chillicothe, Carol (Bill) Shoemaker, of Chillicothe, Becky (Skip Trieb) Mitchel, of Kimbolton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a daughter Vickie Ramsey; sons, Donald Sprouse Jr. and Timmothy Sprouse; a granddaughter, Destany Sprouse; three brothers, John Sprouse, Everett Sprouse, and Bud Sprouse; and a sister, Nancy Staley.

Donald attended the First Church of God in Richmond Dale. He was a self-employed timberman and also worked in salvage. Donald also enjoyed telling jokes.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME. A graveside service will be held, with Pastor John Evans II, officiating, following the visitation in Londonderry Cemetery and will start at approximately 12:45 p.m.
