Douglas B. Reeder, 69, died on June 28, 2024, at his home in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born on September 9, 1954 to the late Edson and Elma Bell Reeder.

Surviving are a sister, Ila Reeder Maxwell and her husband Fred of Travelers Rest, SC, a nephew and 3 nieces, and 10 grandnieces and grandnephews. Also surviving are cousins in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, South Carolina, Florida, California, and Canada.

Doug graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1972. He received his bachelor's degree in 1976 from Bob Jones University, master's degree in music composition from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and doctoral degree in music from Ohio State University. Doug attended Faith Chapel of Chillicothe.

Doug's Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Chapel on July 27 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Thomas Kramer will officiate.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
