Emma L. Oney, 93, of Chillicothe, passed away 1:46 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at Bristol Village of Waverly.

She was born February 12, 1930 in Ross County to the late Douglas and Mary (Everetts) Ogden.  On June 10, 1951 she married Charles C. Oney, who preceded her in death March 21, 2000.

Surviving are daughters, Rita (Leslie) Park, of Chillicothe and Josa Hummel, of Circleville; grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Bowdle, Corin Brewer, Michael (Sabrina) Hummel and Carie (Jason) Chesser; great grandchildren, Lillian and Parker Brewer, Olivia and Henry Hummel, Cooper and Palmer Chesser; step grandchildren, Diane and Carlton Hummel; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters Maxine Clark and Gloria Eberle; brothers, Douglas and Carl Ogden.

Emma was a homemaker for her family.  She was a member of High Street CCCU, lifetime member of the American Legion 757 Auxiliary.  Emma enjoyed camping and bowling for many years.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to one of the local hospice agencies.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in Floral Hills Memory Garden with Reverend Bruce Viar officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
