Esther V. Hixon, 92, of Chillicothe, passed at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Signature HealthCare of Chillicothe following an extended illness.

She was born November 12, 1931, in Allensville, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Ida Appleman.

Surviving are a daughter, Peggy Hixon, of Chillicothe; a granddaughter, Jessica Hixon, of Chillicothe; and great grandchildren, Owen, Able and Emma Hixon.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a former husband, Charles Hixon; a son, Sammy Hixon; a daughter Wavalene Hixon; and several brothers and sisters.

Esther was a member of Allensville C.C.C.U.  She was a retired Janitor having worked for various cleaning companies over the years.

A private funeral service will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeremy Schinkle and Pastor Jerry Carpenter officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
