Everett C. Gearhart, 100, of Chillicothe, died 9:03 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born January 22, 1921 in Chillicothe to the late Earl and Viola Dyer Gearhart. On November 11, 1940, he married the former Gladys E. Reno who died May 5, 2017.

Surviving are sons, David (Michele) Gearhart and Bruce Gearhart, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, David Gearhart, Jr., Daniel (Chrissy) Gearhart, of Cincinnati, Joshua Gearhart, of Circleville, Heather (Brian) Everts, of Lockbourne, Michelle Shoemaker, of MI, and Samantha (Damian) Lawson, of Warsaw; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Rev. Roy Gearhart.

Everett was a charter member of Brookside Church. He retired from the Goodyear Atomic Corporation where he had worked for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Brookside Church with Pastor Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call at Brookside 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
