Floyd E. Claytor, 84, of Chillicothe, passed at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born March 30, 1939 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Claude and Laura Cottrill Claytor.  On November 12, 1993, he married the former Hazel Rapp who passed on June 9, 2023.

Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth (Ron) Baxter and Tammy (Bob) Cline, both of Chillicothe and his lifelong friend, Ronald Scott, of Columbus.   In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Simpson and a brother, Pearl Rapp.

Floyd was a member of the Richmond Dale Baptist Church and had worked at Menasha and also Columbus Steel Drum.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff at Embassy of Valley View and Adena Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care given to Floyd and compassion shown to our family during this time.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
