Frederick S. Fitch, 80, of Chillicothe, formerly of Akron, died  Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Adena Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 1, 1943, in Akron, to the late William LaVern and Elva Irene Brannon Fitch.

Surviving are the loving mother of the children, Juanita Fitch, of Chillicothe; children, Bobbie J. Fitch (Tim Davis), of Chillicothe and William Lee Fitch (Missy Chapman), of Barberton, OH; grandchildren, Andrew Fitch (Kaela), Maria (Jack) Moss, and Justin Ewing Fitch; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Williamson and Mary Jo (Dave) Sandmann, both of Akron and Beverly Constable, of FL; and many nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Eddie Wharton. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jesse Fitch; a brother, Donald Fitch; and brothers-in-law, Fred Williamson and Donnie Lee Constable.

Frederick retired from the Akron Equipment Company and was the former owner of the former Scotties Café. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

In keeping with his wishes he will be buried with his grandson, Jesse Fitch, in Grandview Cemetery in Chillicothe. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
