Gale "Garry" McNeal, 79, of Chillicothe passed away 12:12 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Bristol Village of Waverly following an extended illness.

He was born August 26, 1943 in Chillicothe to the late Gale E. and AnnaBelle Phillips McNeal.  On September 14, 1978, he married Marjorie "Marjie" Coss who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Julie (Rick) Roar, of Lucasville, OH and Debbie (Terry) Eisnaugle, of Waverly; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Debbie (Melvin) Edgington, of Circleville and Candy (Mark) Puterbaugh, of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by children, Gerald "Paunch", Mark and Sharon McNeal and Ron Taylor; father and step-mother, Gale and Catherine McNeal; mother and step-father, AnnaBelle and Lloyd Davis; a brother, James McNeal; a sister, Sharon Findley; and grandmother, Ethel Riggle.

Garry retired from Glatfelter in 2008 as the Machine Operator of 12 Paper Machines.  He was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 731.  Garry loved to go to Church and serve the Lord.  He also enjoyed gospel music, Ohio State Football and WWF Wrestling.

Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Justin Oyer officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
