Gloria J. "Babe" Albright, 78, of Chillicothe, passed at 1:21 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 in Grant Medical Center, Columbus following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born May 16, 1945, in Vinton County, Ohio, to the late Leslie and Walca E. Webb Stevens.  On September 3, 1963, she married Gary A. Albright who passed January 6, 2019.

Surviving are a son, Dennis K. Albright, of Chillicothe; sisters, Carol "Dude" Perry, of Newark, Sandy Roberts, Linda Sherrick, both of Vinton County and Peggy (Terry) Gill, of Wellston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by a brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Anita Stevens and Williams and Myrtle Stevens; sisters, Dorothy Gillman and Francis Winette.

Babe was a member of Mt. Tabor Community Church and a life member of the American Legion Post 757 Ladies Auxiliary.  She had worked at the former Hill's Department Store and had also worked as a Tax Preparer.  Babe was an avid gardener.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery in Vinton County.  Family and friends may call prior to the service on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. at the WARE FUNERAL HOME where an American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service will start at 1 p.m.
