Harold R. "Butchie" Eblin, 54, of Chillicothe, passed Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in Grant Medical Center, Columbus unexpectedly.
He was born April 19, 1969, in Chillicothe, Ohio. In August of 2010, he married the former Becky Simpson who survives.
Also surviving are his daughters, Erin (Michael) Schmitt, of Logan, Jennifer (Brandon) Englehart, of Logan, Rachel (Gabryelle) Blair, of Chillicothe, John (Sarah) Argabright, of Logan and Laura Arnold, of Lancaster; mother, Luanie Fields Neeley, of Chillicothe; several grandchildren, including Emma, Allison, Maegan, Madelyn, Molly, Matilda and Charlotte; a sister, Tammy Eblin (fiance, Dan Golden) Fehr, of Wyoming; a brother, Bill (Becky) Eblin, of Columbus and David (Annie) Neeley, of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews, Christina (Mitch) Carter, of Oregon, Randy Detty II, of Wyoming, Robert (Shasta) Detty, of Waverly, Jessica Peele, of Waverly and James Eblin, of Columbus; a great nephew Liam Carter, of Oregon; great nieces, Haven and Haydon Detty, of Waverly; an uncle, Bob (Diane) Eblin, of Chillicothe; an aunt, Bonnie Newcomb, of Chillicothe; and many cousins, including a special cousin, Marvin Eblin, of Londonderry. He was predeceased by his father, Milford E. Eblin; a brother, Jonathan Neeley and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Butchie served in the United States Army. He worked as a professional truck driver and had logged over 4 million miles in his trucking career. His handle was "The Tri-Cycle Bandit". Butchie also worked as a CDL instructor for Roadmaster Trucking Academy. He graduated from Ohio Christian University with a degree in Ministry. Butchie was a deacon at Landmark Christian Church where he enjoyed preaching the Sunday morning sermon. He was also a dirt track race car driver, for the RC-2 car, and volunteer at local racetracks. Above all he did, Butchie loved spending time with his family and dedicating his life to God.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bud Faulkner officiating. Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 12 noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Monday. Military honors will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
