Helen R. Deiber, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born October 20, 1936 in Pike County to the late Benton, Jr. and Louise (McDaniel) Wiseman.  On August 3, 1958 she married Donald R. Deiber, who preceded her in death on October 25, 2014.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl (Rev. Scott Sr.) Richards, Sr.,  of Chillicothe; son-in-law, Greg Bland, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Ryan (Margaret) Bland, of Cincinnati; Scott Richards, Jr., of Chillicothe and Whitney Bland, of Chillicothe; great granddaughter, Mariah Richards; brother, Dale Wiseman, of FL; sisters-in-law, Karen and Shelby Wiseman, both of Waverly; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Bland; brothers, Carl, Donald, Paul and Bill Wiseman.

Helen was a retired nurse.  She was a member of the D.A.R., Republican Women of Ross County, Chillicothe Century Club and Chillicothe Evening Lions Club.  Helen was affiliated with Church of Christ in Christian Union Churches.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with her son-in-law, Rev. Scott Richards, Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 5-8 pm on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to the service.  A D.A.R. service will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday followed by a Lions service.
