Obituary

Hilda Lou Mallow, 86, of Chillicothe, passed at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026 in National Church Residence Chillicothe following an extended illness.

She was born July 31, 1940, in Chillicothe, to the late Redis and Gladys Hyer Imboden. On February 21, 1959, she married Lonzo W. “Web” Mallow who passed August 5, 2000.

Surviving are a son, Steven (Darena) Mallow, of Eastpoint, FL; a daughter, Jacqueline (Russell) Graves, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Jason (Karen) Walls, Sarah Graves, Steven (Rachel) Mallow, II, Skyler (Sarah) Mallow, Tiffany Graves, Gabriel Mallow, Rachel (Joshua) Mallow-Cook, Whitney (Keith) Lippert, Quinn Snyder, Ethan Snyder and Kristen (Brandon) Cade; great grandchildren, Madison, Adrianna Lou, Jackson, Allie Mae, Jax, Christian, Liam and Lainey; a sister-in-law, Judy Gearhart; many cousins, including her “traveling cousins” Donna Whaley and Evalina Stotridge; and several nieces and nephews, including Bill Imboden, Janette Briggeman, Mike Mallow and Kim Ebert . In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Mallow-Graves and brother, Redis Imboden II.

Hilda was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grove City, the Republican Women of Ross County and the Ohio HBPA. She was a 1958 graduate of Chillicothe High School.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
