Jamie L. Hartley, 61, of Chillicothe, passed 5:05 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Select Specialty Hospital, Columbus, following an extended illness.

He was born May 12, 1962, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to James R. "Ronnie" and Mary K. Chaney Hartley.  On October 10, 1991, he married the former Sandy Collier who survives.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his mother, Mary K. Hartley, of Chillicothe; daughters, Lori (Larry) Trent and Julie Wyckoff, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Christen (Brandon) Smallwood, of Chillicothe, Kyle Petty and Brandon Petty, both of Columbus; great grandchildren; Phoenyx Smallwood and Charlee Smallwood; a brother, Pastor Rick (Debbie) Hartley, of Chillicothe; a niece, Abby (Justin) Ward, of Chillicothe; a great niece, Jenica Ward; and numerous cousins.  In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kaylee Trent.

Jamie served as a Huntington School Board Member for 12 years.  He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation's Highway Department.  Jamie enjoyed pestering all his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with his brother, Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
