Jamie A. McCollister, 49, of Chillicothe, passed at 2:57 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026 in Chillicothe Post Acute following a brief illness.

He was born February 26, 1977, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Ellwyn and Teena Shova McCollister.

Surviving are his wife, Stephanie McCollister; a son, Kinny Allen Betts; many cousins; and several friends.

Jamie worked at Vitatoe Industries and had also recently worked at the Chillicothe Country Club. He loved his son dearly and  liked to hang out with his friends.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
