Jason L. Edler, 41, of Chillicothe, passed 3:38 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023 at his residence unexpectedly.

He was born February 16, 1982, in Chillicothe, to Leslie Steven and Joyce A. Kern Edler.

Surviving are a son, Jason Edler, Jr.; a daughter, Kaylea Edler; father, Leslie Steven Edler; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Kern; a sister, Stephanie (Steven) Dunn, of Chillicothe; half-brother, Seth Benner; aunts, Linda Eblen, Vonda (Eddie) Kern and Carolyn (Mike) Riffle; an uncle Dave Kern; a niece, Danielle (Brandon) McQuay; and many friends, including his best friend, Paul Zickafoose, Jr.  He was predeceased by his mother, Joyce A. Kern Edler; grandparents, Leslie and Vera Edler; and an uncle, Kenneth Kern.

Jason was a member of VFW Post 108.  He loved to cook and enjoyed gardening.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Huntington Township Cemetery with Brian Wisecup officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
