On January 5th, 2024, Jennifer Lynn (Duve) Swepston (57) passed from this life at home and went to be with Jesus after an extended illness.
Beyond being a terrific wife, her greatest passion was found in being a stay-at-home mom to her children. Jennifer was united in marriage to Dwane Swepston on June 20th, 1987.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Brandon (Sarah) Swepston; a grandson, Grahm Swepston; daughter, Holly (Jared) McLeland; parents, Fred and Janet (Delong) Duve; in laws, Ollen and Linda Swepston; a sister-in-law, Sue Duve; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randy and Heidi Seitz and David and Faith Swackhammer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Duve.
Jennifer was a 1984 graduate of Zane Trace High School. Her devotion to her family was exceptional. She was a dedicated wife, mother and friend.
Along with being a homemaker and mother, Jennifer taught VBS and Sunday School, was a 4-H advisor, a ZT elementary / kindergarten volunteer, and a proud sports mom. Wherever her kids were, she was present. Jennifer was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Hallsville Community Church with Chaplain Sue Duve officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Kingston. Family and friends may call at the Hallsville Community Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson's Foundation thru their website at parkinson.org or by mailing them to the Parkinson's Foundation, Attn: Donor Services, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
