Joanna M. Bennett, 82, of Chillicothe, passed at 12:27 a.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024 at her residence following a short illness.

She was born November 5, 1941, in Ross County, Ohio, to the late Ora and Florence Pettit Johnson.  On February 14, 1995, she married Mike Bennett who survives.

Also surviving are children, Dane (Diane) Clark, Tonya R. Knox, Angie (Jason Walls) Chamberlin and Tammy (Kenny) Neal, all of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Donna) Johnson and Terry Johnson, both of Chillicothe; a sister, Sharon Bayless, of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Barb Webb, of Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by a son, Tony Bennett; brothers, John, Frank, Alonzo, Bob, Ed, Tom and Ora; and a sister, Elizabeth.

Joanna retired from Mead Paper Corporation and had also worked at the former WearEver Aluminum in Chillicothe.  She was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 731.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Jeff Blakeman officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
