John E. Meeker passed from this life on October 29, 2023 at his home with his loved ones at his side.  He was born on March 26, 1938 in Kinnikinnick, Ohio to Raymond G. and Eliza Jones Meeker.  John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn (Long) Meeker, and his son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann Meeker, and their daughter, Baileigh and her husband, Jeremee Cantrell.

Also surviving is one sister, Janet (Dean) Good of Kingston and a sister-in-law, Gwynneth Meeker, two nieces, Debbie (Wayne) Bennett and their family, Jason Bennett, Andy (Jenn) Bennett and Sarah (Ryan) Fisher, Kristy Bath and her daughters, Simren and Kiertan of Pickerington, Ohio.  Also nephews, Robert (Kathy) Meeker and Greg (Doreen) of Chillicothe.  Many other nieces and nephews survive.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Ronald G. Meeker.

John graduated from Centralia High School in 1956 and worked at the Mead Corp for over 40 years, retiring in 1996.  He also served for six years in the Ohio National Guard.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Seidensticker and Bill along with Hospice Nurse, Carla, for all of their care and support.

As requested there will be no calling hours and private burial services will be under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Kingston, Ohio.
