Johnnie R. Stanley, 66, of Chillicothe, passed at 9:04 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born March 30, 1958, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Ray and Marlene Gozy Stanley.  On February 19, 1978, he married the former Deborah Allen who survives.

Also surviving are his father, Ray Stanley; a daughter, Melissa (Hiram) Flater; sons, John (Tara) Stanley and Shane Stanley, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Austin (Mykenzie) Stanley, Kayla Flater, Justin Stanley, Cameron Flater and Addison Stanley; a great grandson, Zaylon Stanley; brothers, Rick (Sherry) Stanley and Mike (Terry) Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother, Marlene Stanley and a brother, Steve "Stevie" Stanley.

Johnnie was a God fearing wonderful husband, father, grandfather and a proud great grandfather.  He loved the outdoor life, loved family and making friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ronnie Massie officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held for family and friends in the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help with expenses.
