Joseph Gumm, 62, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:39 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023 at his residence unexpectedly.

He was born August 13, 1960, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Harrison V. and Jonnie Lou Heidell Gumm.

Surviving are his former wife, Maria Gumm, of Chillicothe; a sister, Colleen Bragg, of Chillicothe; an uncle, Roger (Melody) Gumm; an aunt, Bobbie Hammond; a niece, Courtney Hart; a nephew, Jonathan Bragg; several cousins; and by his 3 lovable Dachshunds.  He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harry and Grace Gumm and maternal grandparents, John and Louise Heidell and an uncle, Bruce Heidell.

Joe graduated from Logan Elm High School.  He retired from DuPont.  Joe loved to travel, loved attending concerts and the Cleveland Browns.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  The time will be updated on this obituary once it has been determined when that will be.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
