Juanita Joyce (Shaw) Evans, 61, of Chillicothe, passed away 6:28 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Grant Medical Center, following an extended illness.

She was born November 10, 1962 to Kenneth Shaw, Sr. and Donna (Gray) Shaw.  On November 11, 2009, she married Zane Evans, the love of her life, who survives.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Kellie Rose.

Also surviving is daughter, Ashley (Josh) Beeck, of Iowa; siblings, Kenneth Shaw II, of Georgia, Tonya Shaw, Clint Shaw, Charity (Butch) Nolan, all of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special family friends Paul and Christie Thomas and their children, Nicholas and Alex, of Georgia.

Juanita worked for several years in the healthcare field as an aide and an activities director at various local nursing facilities.  As a caregiver, she met many families and co-workers, who became lasting friends.  She had a bright smile for everyone she met.   She enjoyed thrifting, traveling, and spending time with her husband.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Hines officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 5 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 at WARE FUNERAL HOME.
