Katherine Sue Skaggs, “29 years old” LOL, of Chillicothe passed 4:12 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2026 at her residence.

She was born January 14, 1950 in Grove City, OH to the late Jesse and Mille (Dowell) Spicer. On June 17, 1977 she married Roy Skaggs.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Roy Skaggs; her children, Wendy Skaggs, Mark Skaggs, Jimmy Skaggs, and none the least the baby, Dionne Skaggs “not Jimmy” LOL; grandbabies, Timothy Decker, Corey Brown, Travis and Lilly Smith, Levi and Harley Bussey and Marissa Skaggs; great grandbabies, Ivan, Arabella and Ashur Smith, Aryah Bussey and one Bussey on the way; a sister Cheryl Griffin; a brother, Larry Spicer; many nieces and nephews “Nannan” helped raise and a life-long best friend of 50 + years, Doris Fielder. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Dale Fisher, Joe Fisher and Ricky Spicer and a sister, Patty Spicer.

Katherine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Chillicothe and a mother to all.

The entire family would like to give a special recognition to the 3 amazing ladies, Kat, Deanna and Joyce for taking such great care of our Wife/Mommy/Mamaw/Nannan.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ, 75 Yellowbud Road, Chillicothe, OH. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
