Kathy McAllister, a long time resident of Chillicothe, passed away January 18, 2024.

She was an account executive at WKKJ in the 80's and early 90's.  After marriage, she left WKKJ to be the Scheduler and Greeter for the Parts and Service Department at McAllister's Chevrolet.  After McAllister's sold the dealership, she became a Prep and Dessert Specialist at the Olde Canal SmokeHouse until her health brought her work to an abrupt end in late 2021.   Kathy fought hard to regain her strength but the pain and struggling became more then she could bear.

She was pronounced deceased at 7:37 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe.

She is survived by sons, J.D. McAllister and Bradley McAllister; mother, Judy Smith, of Tallmadge, OH; cousins, Atty John Duncan, of Phoenix, AZ, Ron Duncan, of Circleville and Brenda Duncan, of Lancaster; an aunt, Shirley Duncan, of Circleville; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
