Kevin R. Skaggs, 65, of Chillicothe, passed at 2:52 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 in the Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.

He was born August 28, 1958, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the Ernie A. and Ruth M. Vandemark Skaggs.

Surviving are his life companion, Kathy Shanton, of Chillicothe; father, Ernie A. Skaggs, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Katrina Watson, of Alpharetta, GA; a sister, Kelley (Stephen R.) Park, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth M. Skaggs and brothers, Kyle R. and Kendall R. Skaggs.

Kevin was an employee at Pixelle Specialty Company.

Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon Friday, January 12, 2024.  A graveside service will follow calling hours and will start at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery.  All are welcome to attend a celebration of his life following the graveside service at The Green Barn, 976 Rozelle Creek Road Chillicothe, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ross County Humane Society 2308 A Lick Run Road Chillicothe, OH 45601.
