Larry W. Ervin, 82, of Chillicothe, passed at 9:48 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Brown Memorial Home, Circleville following extended illness.

He was born June 7, 1940, in Scioto County, to the late Lawrence and Wilma Lavender Ervin.  On August 26, 1961, he married the former Patricia Dalton who passed June 7, 2019.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy (Steve Roller) Ervin, of Chillicothe; a son, Matt (Michelle) Ervin, of Springboro, OH; grandchildren, Holly (Joel) Speckman and Sam Ervin; sisters, Gayle (Jim) Mossbarger, of Indiana and Lorraine (Doug) Gulley, of Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Bell and a brother-in-law, Robert Bell.

Larry attended Brookside Church.  He was a principal at Chillicothe City Schools for over 30 years.  Following retirement, he worked as a Court Administrator and Chief Probation Officer for Ross County.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dr. Ralph Hux officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
