Larry A. Minney, 58, of Chillicothe, passed at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle.

He was born October 18, 1965, in Chillicothe to the late William and Marilyn (Davisson) Minney. On September 21, 2002 he married the love of his life, soulmate and best friend Peggy (Cochenour) Minney who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Breeann Alana Minney and Ashley Marie Steele; grandchildren, McKenzie Steele and Caden Steele; sisters, Brenda (Walter) Stevens and Tina Minney; mother-in-law, Betty Cochenour; special uncle, Kenney (Felicia) Minney; sister-in-law, Rebecca (Ellis) Shoemaker; brothers-in-law, James (Rusty) Cochenour and Don Oney; several nieces and nephews; special "brothers" Bill McCoy, Marvin Shaw and Brent Colley, and his faithful canine companion who he lovingly referred to as "his girlfriend" Lexi. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law Larry Cochenour.

Larry owned and operated Larry's Mobile Auto Service from 2003-2022. He had also been previously employed at Jack's Tire and Auto and Goodyear in Ohio and Texas. He was a well-respected businessman and a true friend to many.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire ICU staff at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chaplain Bruce Hines and Dr. Ngalle at Adena Palliative Care for your excellent care of Larry and your comfort and compassion for the family during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
