Laura L. Sparks, 60, of Chillicothe, passed 9:12 a.m. Monday, January 1, 2024 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus unexpectedly.

She was born February 25, 1963, in LaPuente, CA, to the late Joseph J. Jr. and Marilyn A. Overfield Smith.

Surviving are a daughter, Ashley N. Lovensheimer, of Chillicothe; granddaughters, Azrielle A. and Azrian M. Williams; sisters, Teresa A. Zeisler, Valerie J. Smith, both of Chillicothe and Lorna R. Smith, of Astatula, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, her dog, Pablo.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Joseph J. Smith, III and a sister, Sherry L Smith.

Laura worked as a STNA at Valley View Nursing Home.  She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626.  Laura was a loyal friend and never met a stranger.  She will be missed by her family and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
