Linda L. Yates, 85, of Ray, Ohio, passed at 2:10 a.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born November 8, 1940, in Ross County, to the late Rev. Ralph L. and Rosemary E. Dixon Manion. On October 16, 1975, she married Joseph A. Yates who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Rhonda (Rick) Nichols, of Londonderry, Rick Fout, of Ray and Jodell (Brandon) Long, of Ray and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Kevin S. Fout and Terry A. Fout.

Linda retired from Vinton County School where she drove a School Bus.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday, August 13, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Jimmie Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
