Lisa M. Hewitt, 62, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born January 29, 1963, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Donald B. and Ellen Marie Palmer Ellis.  On November 24, 1984, she married Chester A. Hewett who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Matthews C. (Sara) Hewitt, of Columbus; grandchildren, Obie Hewitt; a sister, Kathy Salley, of Kingston; sisters-in-law, Bobbi (Scott) LeGard, of Chillicothe, Theresa (Wesley) Damron, of Chillicothe, Tinna Hewitt, of Dayton and Tammy (Scott) Wilbanks, of Londonderry; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Becky) Hewitt, of Chillicothe and Scott Hewitt, of Long Beach, CA; step father-in-law, Robert Caplinger; and many friends, including a special friend, Kathy Myers.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Judy Caplinger.

Lisa was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and had worked at the Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library as a Librarian.  She loved baking and was proud of the fact that she had won a ribbon at the Ross County Fair for her original recipe Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins. Lisa also enjoyed shopping for antiques and vintage clothing.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brett Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
