Lisa D. Wright, 56, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family at 1:52 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born February 2, 1968 in Chillicothe, Ohio.  On May 7, 1988, she married the love of her life and soul mate Chris Wright.  Together they shared 36 years together.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mom and dad, Carolyn (Fairchild) and Neil Swepston.  Lisa and Chris were blessed with three children whom they love dearly, Zachery L. (Lacy) Wright, of Chillicothe, Ciara (Matthew) Terry, of Columbus and Amanda (Stanley) Johnson, of Kingston.  The joy of her life were her four grandchildren, April Wright, Adalynn Wright, Shia Wright and Colson Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by an infant sister, Tonya Sue; maternal grandparents, James C. and Gladys Fairchild; paternal grandparents, Carl and Avanelle Maple and Malvin and Marian Swepston; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harley and Rosa Wright; and a special aunt, Fern Detty.

Lisa loved the outdoors and especially loved mushroom hunting, boating, kayaking, camping, four wheeling and the warmth of the sunshine on her skin all of which she enjoyed while listening to her favorite tunes.  She was a loving person and opened up her heart and home to many who needed her over the years.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Jon James officiating.  Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Saturday.

The family wants to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care given to Lisa and compassion shown to our family during this time.
