Lola P. Rister, 85, of Londonderry, passed 8:06 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family, at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born September 10, 1937, in Huntington, WV, to the late Cecil P. and Lola Harmon Powell.  On November 22, 1976, she married Ronald Rister who passed July 8, 2003.

Surviving are children, Michael (Kathy) Powell, of Londonderry, Cathy Roister, of Londonderry, Vera (Scott) Conley, of Florence, KY, Charlotte (Ron) Hill, of Chillicothe and Janet (Eric) Weeks, of Chillicothe; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Sue Powell, of Chillicothe; and her faithful dog, Betty.  She was predeceased by a son, Steven Powell; a daughter, Carolyn Hallowell; sons-in-law, Jeff Hallowell and David Roister; grandchildren, Jeremy Powell and Beth Ann Roister; and brothers, Ralph Powell, Leslie Powell and Bernard Powell.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday, June 30, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the funeral service on Friday.
