Lucky L. D. Stokley, 73, of Chillicothe, passed at 2:29 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born October 5, 1950, in Springfield, MO, to the late David and Thelma Stokley.  On April 7, 1989, he married the former Karla K. Bradbury who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lyndsey and Jeff McGraw, of Bainbridge; a granddaughter, Jaiden McGraw; a sister, Sue Stokley, of Arizona; several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Brenda (Rick) Lapointe and Jill Stevens and special nephews, Ricky (Laurie) Young and Mark Nolan; and many "adopted" kids and grandkids whom he considered his own.  He was predeceased by sisters, Mickey Stevens, Juanita Anderson and Carol Stokley.

Lucky graduated from Rio Linda High School in Sacramento, CA.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.    Lucky worked as a Truck Driver for Palmer G. Lewis for many years.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Friends and family may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 12 noon to 2 p.m. prior to the memorial service on Saturday.  Military honors will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
