Margaret L. "Biddie" Cox, 81, of Chillicothe, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at CareCore at Westmoreland.

She was born May 22, 1943 in Huntington, W.V. to the late Donald L. and Ada Mae Ferguson Yates Adkins.  On February 20, 1970 she married Andrew M. Cox, who preceded her on May 29, 2009.

Surviving are children Philip (Alyssa) Cox, of Chillicothe, William Adkins, of California and Kimmy Cox, of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren; step-children, Steven (Barbara) Cox and Mike (Tess) Cox, both of Chillicothe; numerous step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren; a brother, Michael Adkins, Orlando, FL; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kara Mayberry, of Marysville; special friends and neighbors, Crystal and Buzz Zeisler, of Chillicothe; and a special friend, Lora Patterson Boniphant, of Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by a brother, David Adkins; sisters, Carolyn Snyder and Marilyn Mathews; stepsons, Terry Cox and Andrew Cox; and a stepdaughter, Linda Cox.

Margaret was a homemaker for her family.  She attended Jefferson Avenue C.C.C.U. and Lighthouse Baptist Church and was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 600 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1626.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday, June 28, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Greg Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service on Friday.
