Marlin R. Irvin, 84, of Chillicothe, OH and Englewood, FL, passed Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in Englewood Community Hospital, Englewood, FL following a brief illness.

He was born March 25, 1939, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Everett A. and Vallie V. Bragg Irvin.

Surviving are a daughter, Verda J. (Edward E.) Hines, of Chillicothe; stepchildren, JoAnn (Larry) Spires, of Grandin, MO, Lin Wagner, of Englewood, FL, Ramona Branham, of Cape Coral, FL and John Wagner, of Grandin, MO; grandchildren, Daniel (Gracie) Hines and Dustin Hines, D.O.; step grandchildren, Kevin Shermer, James (Kelly) Shermer and Jennifer Doyle; a step great granddaughter, Alexia Doyle; brothers, Rodney (Mary) Irvin, Larry (Connie) Irvin, and Dwight Irvin, all of Chillicothe and Clark (Elaine) Irvin, of Bainbridge; a sister, Gayle Irvin, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Dolores J. Gale; father, Everett Irvin; mother, Vallie Matheney; brothers, Everett Irvin Jr., Ophrey Irvin, Elwin Irvin and Carroll Irvin; sisters, Lucille Detty and Carlene Baker; a step son, David Wagner; and mother of his only daughter, Gloria Marlene Seymour.

Marlin was the owner and operator of the Chillicothe Body Shop on Water Street for many years.  He was an avid fisherman and loved to snowbird in Florida.  Marlin also enjoyed hunting bear, deer, elk, etc.  He was a member of AMVETS Post 4, F.O.E. Aerie 600, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626 and VFW Post 108 Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Danny Keller officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
