Martha Strausbaugh, 88, of Chillicothe, passed 3:33 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born May 10, 1935 in Chillicothe to the late Mack and Dorothy Magill Steinbrook.  On February 14, 1985 she married Herman G. "Jr" Strausbaugh, who preceded her on October 10, 2018.

Surviving are children, Jan (Greg) Mead and Daniel Hamner, both of Chillicothe; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren; sisters, Diane Price, Billie Guysinger and Nellie Strausbaugh, all of Chillicothe; brothers, Daniel, Arioch and Mack Steinbrook, all of Chillicothe; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, including her church family at Brookside.  She was predeceased by daughter, Karen Clark; sister, Frieda Jones; brother, Melvin Steinbrook.

Martha was a homemaker for her family.  She was a member of Brookside Church.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2024 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ralph Hux officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Friends and family may call 1 hour prior to the service.
