Mary V. Easterday, 83, of Chillicothe, passed while surrounded by her loving family at 9:17 p.m. on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born January 28th, 1940 to the late William Perry Wells, Jr. and Violet Margie (Pierce) Wells.  On November 30, 1956, she married the love of her life, Roger D. Easterday, who preceded her in death on June 7th, 2004.

Surviving are 5 children, Chessalee (Wilbur) Griffie, Roger W. Easterday, Robin A. (Gary) Vickers, John Easterday (Vicky Lanman), Penny Easterday (Tom Colvin), all of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren, Crystal Griffie, Joey Griffie, Tara (Kyle) Payne, Tiffany (Ryan) Harris, Randell (Brittany) Wilson, Lindsey (Anthony) Wagner and Chad Easterday; 16 great grandchildren, Lilly, Sydni and Dakota Wilson, Lexi Wedebrook, Laynee and Ryan Wagner, Brent and Bryce Kohn, Miah (Cricket) Powell, Maliki Hayburn, Cailey and James Harris, Ally and Allena Knight and Jozee and Iva Payne; and siblings, Margie (Jerry) Phillips, of Delaware, William P. (Lois) Wells, of Willard and Pat Disbennett, of Delaware.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and very special nanan that lived her life for her family.  Each and every one of her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Marsha Ward, C.N.P. and to the National Church Residences Hospice Team that showed so much love and compassion for our mom.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2024 in Huntington Township Cemetery with Chaplain Aaron Hines and Michael Burns officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
