Mary Alberta (Uhrig) Leasure, (86), of Sunbury, Ohio suffered a brief illness and passed away peacefully with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Larry Leasure, and her parents, Alberta Cottrill Uhrig and August Frederick Uhrig. Born on March 2nd, 1938 in Chillicothe, Ohio. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy & Alan Bumpus, and their children, Wesley (26) and Ethan (23). Over the years our family has had many additional family members that have so positively impacted our lives, and she loved them all.

Mary attended Ohio University in Athens, and then began a career at a bank where she met lifelong friends, and Larry when he brought in the deposits from the barber shop where he worked. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, her beloved roles. She loved going Disney World with her grandchildren and attending all of their activities, band, and theatre events. She impacted their friends as she used her blue van to transport them all with snacks provided. Larry was an extrovert who never met a stranger, and Mary an introvert, who loved to quietly help people. The two were a perfect match, she found herself lost without him, and could not heal her broken heart. Mary will be truly missed.

Mary's family will host visitation and service at WARE FUNERAL HOME in Chillicothe, Ohio on Sunday, June 30th with Paul Minney, Minister, officiating; visitation from 12-2 pm with a service at 2 pm, and burial to follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Following the burial, the family will gather at the Postmark 105 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, Ohio.  They would certainly appreciate the presence of any friends who wish to join them.
